The Gate to All Knowing
The Tao (The Energy of Pure Consciousness)that can be expressed is not the eternal Tao; The name (The Manifestation of the Energy of Pure Consciousness)that can be defined is not the unchanging name.
The unmanifested is the source of creation; The manifested is the mother of all physical things.
From the eternal energy of non-existence, therefore, we serenely observe the mysterious beginning of the Universe; From the eternal existence we clearly see the apparent cycles of distinctions.
These two come from the same source but differ in name, and they both may be called the cosmic Mystery.
Reaching from the Mystery to the mysteries is the door to all knowing.
第一章 眾妙之門
道可道，非常道；名可名，非常名。無，名天地之始；有，名萬物之母。故常無，欲以觀其妙；常有，欲以觀其徼。此兩者，同出而異名，同謂之玄。玄之又玄，眾妙之門。
詮釋: 道是一種超人類的純宇宙意識能源，是人類語言無法表述清楚的。由道顯現為人類可見的物質世界萬物是可以用人類語言來命名的，物質萬物背后的根本意識能量是無法用人類語言來命名的。
未顯現的道是宇宙萬物生成之本源，由道顯現的宇宙萬物是宇宙萬物的誕生。因此，由未顯現的道-純宇宙意識能源，人類可以追溯到宇宙未形成前的奧妙；由道-純宇宙意識能源，的物質萬物顯現可以觀察到宇宙的千變萬化。
這兩種形態同出于道的轉化，都十分深邃奧妙，而這兩種形態奧妙無窮的重疊和轉換就是道的存在與顯現，有形與無形變化的根本之門。
